I was a vendor at a show[as was the Amel Goini guy] and I am wiped out. I have to dig it up and post it. Seeing there's been so much fuss lately over Goini I figured I would wait til I have the time and energy to talk about these cool snakes. People who saw them today, and the hets....all thought they were sharp. No one compared them to the crosses.... These are the real deal. I will post more soon. Thanks Tom Stevens
you came out with this. I am curious what some of the afficiandos have to say.
That'd improve it's look 300%.
Already in the works foxturtle......Good thinking though....LOL
We would love to see a blaze phase amelanistic.....Double hets (if there is such thing with blaze phase genetics) next year. And some other things planned.
John Lassiter
Is that pure Goini?Just curious.
100% pure from collected goini in the ANF....
These are the real deal no doubts about it. Some possible hets are patternless and aberrant as well.
We have been holding on to these and the idea of us getting some for nearly a year........

John,
Could you let us know who collected these "goini" and when/where they were found? I have a fond appreciation for these kings and have been actively searching for them for about 5 years now. Some of us have serious doubts about these albinos for numerous reasons. Number one, "goini" have been bred in captivity for over 30 years now and when an albino pops up after so much time, it makes it more questionable. Number two, several breeders have openly stated they have bred other kings into "goini" to produce the albino trait. Number three, those same breeders have stated that when they bred say a Florida King with "goini" and produced offspring, they bred that offspring back into "goini" and after several generations they could not tell that anything else was bred into "goini"...all the offspring looked like typical "goini". This makes any new morph of "goini" questionable especially since "goini" has been bred in captivity for so long. Either way, if the pair that produced the albinos presented here were wild caught, I would just like to know who found that pair and when. If you could share any information whatsoever, I would certainly appreciate it.
Sean
I will try to get the info posted later. What I wanted was for everyone to really look at the pics without knowing any specifics. Why? Because if it was not an Albino you would stare at the pic and look for details of what makes the snake appear to be a specific snake. This is a snake discussed on here a lot lately. The pic is not the best...I am gonna try n post a few more soon. Understand I just did a show and have many snakes to put back in their containers. Please look at the pics and I will post the history soon. Thanks Tom Stevens
And don't get so defensive. You make it seem something is questionable by your reactions.
I will post the history soon. Let's let people look at the pics. Defensive? Don't be pushy. I explained I am busy. It is 1:15 and I have a lot to do before I crash. Tom Stevens
I apologize Tom. You originally posted this on the 27th and I didn't realize you wanted to wait before you said anything else about them. I'll be looking forward to your post about the history of these.

i think he tried ,so the lineage is at your disposal(from the guy who sold it)BTW the band EAGLES are Jammin on NBC for us old folks
I dropped by Tom's place after the show in Austin to have a few beers, etc.. had a real good time, Tom's has a VERY nice pad and collection, very well kept and very clean. I was able to examine the animals in question, Chip Osburn and John Lassiter were there as well, as well as a pretty cool friend of John's who's name escapes me at the moment. I believe we all came to the same conclusion, it looks pure, I believe I could spot a phony or at least have a certain intuition , I saw no evidence ,physiologically or morphologically. It looks pure...heck of an animal.
Way to go Tom

Justin Mitcham
Right on Justin!!!
These guys are amazing....I will post some pics tomorrow after work.
My possible het male is certainly a "classic" looking goini that couldn't have been produced by a cross or hybridized pairing.
And.....These things are amazing!!!!
