While I certianly support this paper and it's tenants, I think it gives a simple but pointed reason why animals should not be let go. But I also would think there should be some consideration to adoption of such animals to the herpticulture and the funds used for support of such orgnaizations or projects pointedly in favor of the animals needing reasearch or help.

I definitely don't agree with the part about killing it when you're done using it as a classroom pet. How awful is THAT???
