This is him with one of his sisters. Not sure if she's an extreme but she is pretty light. Don

Good for you Don. We needed some good news after Daytona. Wait until you see what I produced from those large eggs.
John, I bet they were as big as python babies. Can't wait to see them. Thanks.
Really outstanding Don. I think beauties like those and the tri colored Hypos are catching more eyes than the Hybino project...but of course I love that one too.
Congrats! Tom Stevens
Thanks Tom, I am pretty happy about it. I hope to get more next year.

Thanks Marc.
Don,
Well Done. Very nice looking pair. Wait till they shed, they only get better.
Sounds like an interesting pairing / bloodline and does not help solve how the Extremes come to be.
Do enjoy them and share the great pics.
Kind Regards,
Adam
Don and I have been swapping some emails on this very subject...
Terry Dunham originally produced a grayish hypo male and a het female. These were sold to Karl Krumke, who then sold them to Steve Hammack at hisss.net. I bought a pair of hatchlings produced by this pair from Steve Hammack in 2001, and bred them together in 2003 to produce my first Extreme. I bred them again this year and produced a second extreme. I bought the original Dunham animals from Hammack.
Don's animals also come from these original animals...the male was produced by Krumke, and the female later by Hammack, so they are siblings to my pair that produced my Extreme, they were just all hatched in different years.
I believe that Falcon's original animals came from Terry Dunham also, but it's unknown if the original Dunham/Krumke/Hammack pair are directly related or his or not.
Hope this helps.

Paul,
That is great to know more of the History and I thank you for sharing. So it seems that these go back to 1998/99 when this first grayish hypo and het was produced by Terry. We are now seeing the results from related pairings at a refined level. Very good history to know.
When I saw Don's I thought of your female pic you posted a while ago, Light colored thin bands and body color, very simular looks. You both produced some outstanding ones and should feel proud.
How does that female from Mike look after a shed?
Again thanks for sharing the Background.
Kind Regards,
Adam
The hypo that I got from Mike is perhaps a tad lighter gray than mine. I tried to get a couple of pics of them in the sunlight last week to compare, but all that I accomplished were numerous bloodlettings followed by a good dose of fecal sprays.
I don't know what Don did to get his two snakes to pose like that. Perhaps he was a lion tamer in a former life.

Don,
I keep telling you not to post pics of those hondurans!!!
I know you do but I just can't help it.
Don:
Sweet snake.
I had an extremish hypo along with some real nice vanishnig patterns hatch out of a clutch last week. The extremish is not quite as nice as yours but the very light grey bands and thin bands is close. No pattern at all on the underside. The pairing was a big vanishing pattern hypo from Mike Falcon and a male hypo from Randy Wittington that is a sibling to some of the real nice hypos he has produced. My picture taking skills are nowhere near yours so I'll post these two iffy shots pre-shed and I'll try and get some better shots of the whole clutch post shed. The variety of hypos in the clutch is pretty amazing and I think it speaks to the doubtfulness of the extreme being a simple recessive gene. My 2 cents is the extremes are just really nice hypos but I'm open to debate on the subject.
A bonus is the female just laid 10 good eggs as a her second clutch of the year.

Rob, that is a really nice animal. I was pretty happy with the one I got yesterday.
