Sand snake ?

mikean Aug 29, 2005 02:00 PM

Hi just wondering if anyone can ID this one for me, it's supposed to be a sand snake (psammophis) but I'm also wondering if it's (psammophylax). I can't find good enough pics of the different sub species of psammophis and none of the psammophylax variabilis.

To me it doesn't quite look like the striped skaapsteker, the head markings look different to pics I've got.

Mike

P.S. Thanks for ID'ing the whipsnake Frank. Lost your email cause of a hard drive crash.

I actually beleive thats a vine snake. Or something like that, I can get it to come out. Maybe a gardner snake. Something in that category
