Where do you buy your feeders??

Ji_ Aug 29, 2005 02:42 PM

I always have went with rodentpro but the last month they are consistantly out of what I need and I just keep waiting and waiting and buying from the local petshop which is killing me price wise.

Wheres another place you guys recommend, it seems theres quite a few of them but the prices dont seem to be comparable. Any suggestions? Where do you go??

Thanks

Pros- Great looking rats and excellant packaging. Joe Brant will even Cryovac vaccuum seal individual rats (extra) if you want. Cons- minimum order of 50, but he'll mix and match different sizes which helps if you have several different sized snakes, like I do. Also, IMHO the sizes run slighly on the small side, so I order up the next size for what I want, so there is no problem. The big one in the pic is a "jumbo."

I'm thinking about the rats that used to come out of the metal scrap pile when I was a teenager working at a local welding shop in Orlando Florida. Definatly 3X's the size of the one in the pic. There was an orange tree right next to the pile and apparently they thrive on fruit.

a small rat off of rodentpro is .69 where this place, and every other place Ive looked is much higher, in this case 1.75!!

I checked and they still want you to pay for shipping ...

I'm married, and wifefy needed A LOT of convincing before rats went in "her" freezer. The packaging helped.

I can certainly understand that

However, in my case I have a freezer exclusive for my herps, my orders are in the 200 rat range. On the upside because of this that vacume packaging is something to be considered for sure!! My collection isnt huge by any means (18 boas/balls) but big enough where small orders are a PITA.

I noticed the mouse factory does vacume sealing and are quite a bit cheaper than miceonice .... then again, rodentpro has rabbits and the colossal rats ... I think Im going to order the rabbits and colossals from rodentpro, as many as fit in one box to reduce shipping, and order the rest from the mouse factory until I can figure something else out.

Thanks for the input however, much appreciated!!

RondentPro was out of what I needed for a couple of weeks, I ordered from Big Cheese. They were the only compairable that I could find. I know he was working on a new website, but when I ordered I emailed to tell him what I wanted to find out total cost with shipping, the called to place the order over the phone. That is the only thing I didn't like. Their sizes are a little bigger than Rodent Pro.

I will use Big Cheese when Rodent Pro can't fill my order!
