Today's Litter!!! Opinions welcome?!?! PICS inside...

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 17, 2003 11:16 PM

Well today we finally had out first litter of the season after our first few girls slugged out on us. Nice to see something live in the cage, and not little sweet potatoes! LOL

Here is the situation and opinions are welcome. The female that birthed is an Orangetail Hypo sibling produced by Dr Hardy and measures around 48". The first male that bred her was her brother also an Orangetail Hypo sibling. You may wonder why we would breed two normal siblings together? They both share a reverse stripe pattern and are littermates, so we hoped to maybe produce a few complete reverse striped offspring. After the Orangetail sibling quit breeding the female, we also through one of our male Sharp Albinos in as a back up player…. he can't hurt as a backup right?! LOL

Well today she birthed 98 days after her P.O.S and gave us 17 perfect babies and 0 pills! Take a look at the litter and close up of the baby and let us know who you think the father is. We think the Sharp male did the job, because you would not think that the CA influence would give off such nice red tails. The majority of the litter also share a lot of Colombian influence. We are just happy to have a nice healthy litter after the rough start of this season. All in all it looks like we will just have to keep the entire litter to prove them out !!!LOL

Mother: Female OrangeTail Hypo Sibling

Poss Father #1: Male OrangeTail Hypo Sibling (bother to above female)

Poss Father #2: Male Sharp Albino

Offspring:

Thanks for looking and your input!

I'm not knowledgable enough to even begin to guess the parentage, but for what it's worth..............the coloring is wonderful!

Both of the hypo siblings look like hondurans and none of the babies do, so I would say het sharps. BTW that is the nicest Sharp albino I have ever seen.

you bred 2 males where the babies would be hard to distinguish. if it were me, i'd now keep those babies, because anyone who buys these are taking a risk with the real genetics. very nice litter though!

I'd also say you have sharp hets... and that sharp strain is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
So are you gonna sell the babies as possible sharp hets?
either way, put me down for a trio.

Please email me at rollojoe@hotmail.com when they are ready.
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!

The people that think they are sharp hets and can't get real ones could get in at a good price as long as they know what the deal is you have laid out the hole story for every one so i see nothing wrong with 50% poss hetif so i would be interested in a pair email me if you go this way
