I got my 1.1 Northern Blue Tongues from Weiss Reptiles 4 years ago when they were 5 days old. Well, guess what? Today, my female (Pancake) had 5 babies!!!! I was not expecting them because I put the mom and dad together only a few times and thought the babies would have been born already if she was pregnant. But today....... YAYAYAYAYYA!!!!!! I went in to check on them and I saw a big doo-doo in the cage and thought...wow, that's a big one! And then....it turned it's head at me when I noticed that it was not a big doo-doo! It was a little baby!!! So, I shuffled though the bedding and found the others. There were 5 healthy ones and 2 dead ones. 
Is this normal for a first time litter? The two of them looked just fine...except they were dead.
I can't believe I have babies...... AND, they are SOOOOOOO cute! I am reminded of how cute the mom and dad were when they were this small.
