argus x flavi cross......... is this for REAL?

paine Aug 29, 2005 05:36 PM

a few months ago i picked up an ackie and still this he is awesome. He is doing great and eating alot. The other day i was in a breeders shop and was looking at the pair of agurs's she had. They are just awsome monitors. The ones she had their were argus's and as normal, did not liked to be touched but she did pick up both of them in front of me, and didnt get a whole lot of fight... the one did almost look like she had a mad expression on her face tho ha. Anyways... if i was to get a argus x flavi cross how much more 'tame' are they? Do they get any more smaller or larger then a normal agrus? I know the care sheets will tell me some of this, but i would rather hear it from someone who knows on the fourm... But what would a good size enclosure be for an adult?

and why not add... if anyone has one for sale... let me know!! thanks.

Yes they are smaller and in my opinion less grumpy than argus.

More expensive, and less aggressive, in some ways.
An argus can get overzealous about anything that cornrs them, resembles food, or moves like it, they can and will charge, they are brave fearless and always hungry.
Flavi-argus have a lot more color, and pattern, they are smaller by a bit, they are alot less likely to charge you for food, aggression, etc, they seem to second guess charging but they are still bottomless pits and still active neat animals. Mine will chrage, then stop, hesitating, like the argus and flavi are in disagreement, I like my flavi-argus cross, reallly great animal.

very frikkn awsome ones both the green and the red.. the red is very cool tho, can i get one from you ha... ya right. Anyways, the main thing i want to ask everyone is if they are 'more calm'. Keep in mind that i know they are still monitors and act like them... but compared to argus... like on a sacle of ackies to niles (ackies being 1 and niles being 10) what would you rate them ha? thanks. and very nice on the red Frank.. oh and good thing you used and pic and said who it came from, or else you would have started a fight haha.
