Checked out the Sunday paper yesterday..saw an ad " Snakes For sale" called the guy to ask what kind of "snakes" he had for sale. all he knew is that they were pythons about 5 feet long. I decided to check out what he had and figured i would bring my probing kit with me. Well...turned out he had 4 HUGE ball pythons...he said he has had them for about 5 years. I probed them..ALL 4 were HUGE FEMALES..my jaw dropped...I paid $100 FOR ALL!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm goin' right out and buyin' my sunday paper :|

I though I got a deal! 2 adult (1500 and 2000g) females that eat anything for 160. But you, my friend, made out big time. Congrats though, and good luck with them

I saw in the online Kansas City pet classifieds "Adult Female Ball $125"

Call the lady up, she says it's a pet and the kid got bored with her. Got all the directions and everything...set up a time...I even got the price down to $100...

Next day when I get home, my dad tells me that the lady called and said that a guy showed up at her door with $150 and bought the snake.

Tonight was feeding night anyways...so i decided to thaw 4 large rats. ALL females took F/T right off the tong. One girl has a REAL ODD feeding responce...she put her mouth right up against the rat and then just opened up her mouth and began to swallow the rat..no constricting..very odd. these were their weights before feeding 2866, 2904, 2889, and...3479...I am in Tennessee and its very rare to find ball pythons in the classifieds...mostly its boas, and lizards, or corns...its the 3rd time i have bought female balls from the paper. I hate to say this, but all of the homes i went to to get the snakes were really trashy and the snakes were kept in terrible conditions. This guy had these 4 girls in a home made box w/ light bulb and a water bowl! they are in a better home now! I have a beautiful Graziani Ringer Pastel waiting for them this winter!
