The only luck I have had has been accidental. There are tiny little crickets running around in my gecko boxes because some females laid eggs in the humid hides. When I tried to raise crickets I ran out of patience, but this link has some info on it.

I’ve found that breeding/keeping crix is much harder that caring for geckos.
They need heat for sure, they don’t do well at room temp, I use a low wattage incandescent bulb. They also need fresh potato/carrot/apple slices every day, along with a dry food. It’s very important to provide them with lots of ventilation, and be sure to throw out any dead crix you find.
You should search on google.com or even this fourm for more detailed info. If you have a specific questions please ask, someone will be able to help.

I provided mine with a dish of moist moss as a water source and bam.......babies. Lots of them! Now they have that dish plus one for dry food and one for calcium fortified gel (and other wet foods). I'll still buy some baby crickets every 3-4 weeks but for the most part my *colony* is doing pretty good (so much so that only a week ago i moved them to a larger tank).

I didn't know they required so much work to breed, guess i lucked out.

Hey Jeff, there are some places on the internet that they sell crickets like Grooms Cricket Farm, Armstrong, and some of them can sell you a kit to start producing your own cricket colony.
