2 year old Male....

These came from the same clutch....
I will have to tell you photographing Kingsnakes is no easy task compared to my Boas....HOLY SMOKES!!
This guy hooded when he was outside. I think I will name him Naja.

And the female.
Is that a genetic aberrancy or was that from some sort of abnormal issue while incubating? Does she produce aberrant babies?

Beautiful!!!! Where did she come from?

Hi
I believe I've seen that snake before. If I'm not mistaken it was originally owned by my good friend Brian Gundy of For Goodness Snakes here in San Jose CA. He sold all of his colubrids 2-3 years ago to get into ball python and boa morphs. Where did you pick her up? Nice acquisition. I was offered that snake back then but couldn't pick her up because I was in a bind at the time. BTW, Here's a pic from his old site. Anyway, I'm glad to see that she has a proud owner. Take care.

That's crazy.....Small world. And that is one hell of a better picture than mine...LOL It is sooooo dang hard to photograph colubrids. I picked her up from a lady that has mostly Epicrates, Corns and Asian Rats here in Sacramento. I am guessing the other two would be from his stock as well.
Do you know if that aberrancy is genetic?
Vichris
Hi
Brian was not able to prove it out as he sold his colubrids before he could do more test breeding. To me it looks like a random abberancy but you never know. I could be wrong. Either way it really shows the "variable" characteristics of these snakes. We'll just have to leave it to the new proud owner to prove it out eventually. Take care.

I just sent Brian an E-mail....oops. If he responds I will at least know whether or not the other two came from him. Looks like I will just have to prove it out
.
that it was genetic. He had a few babies including the one that I have with varying degrees of aberrancies. I had met Brian at a show in San Jose and it's too bad he doesn't breed Thayeri anymore because he seems like a great guy. I guess we'll have to wait to see if this girl throws any abberant pups!!
If you don't mind me asking....Where did you get this one from????
It looks VERY similar if not identical to some I produced back in 2002......
This one came from the clutch I am referring to. Her sibs looked just like the one you posted......Amazingly similar.

at the Sacramento Ca show last month. She is labeled an 01' but that doesn't mean anything considering the Thayeri I asked you to Id for me was labled het for Leonis. I will be putting the orange Leonis with her this coming season to see if it does prove out or not. If it doesn't no big deal. I really dig Thayeri. It's kind of funny that I just got inot them and already have 5 and I am wanting more after seeing some of these pics on here.
The addiction has hit YOU hard my man.......
Take a chill pill......LOL
Great snakes.....glad there is another one in our group.

I know what you mean. I've only been into them for about a year, and I'm going nuts. I've even put off my rent a week, and had to pay a late fee because of some Thayeri I wanted to buy. lol. By the way...if she does throw some abberant offspring can I get on a waiting list to purchase one? Thanks.
