This is my second year breeding this and I am not selling any exhibiting yet, so don't ask. They are pretty neat though aren't they.
P.s. yeah those ARE the real colors. Straight from my digi cam to here.

I thought albino conjuncta were mostly pink, or white as adults. That looks like an albino desert phase to me.

What is your source on that. This is a cross stock of Jeff Mintz and Loyd Lemke, 100% pure, as pure as they come. I was unaware anyone had found or tried to breed albino conjuncta other than Jeff Mintz's one fluke albino male. Maybe the ones you have seen are crossed to some cal king phase. This is the purest form you can find and at 2 years old I assure you these are the permanant colors. Of all Jeff's and my own stock I have yet to see much pink at all on any of the true conjuncta lines. The pink seems to occur with crosses, but not on the striaght conjuncta lines. The same is true for nitida as well.
It is very nice looking, I do not know much about the Cal kings but that is really killer. Tom Stevens
Yours is what I would think the Cape Kings would look like, not pink. Most regular amel Cal Kings look pinkish or whitish at birth. The snake you posted looks kinda bluish to me. Very neat and unique. I know about Lloyd, he had great snakes but I have never heard of the other guy. Does he have a website I could check out? That is a really neat snake and I would love to know more about the backround.
Jeff Mintz. He is a private breeder that for some reason unknown to myself has not made a proffession of it. He got an on the job injury and is on disability. He can not have his name officially on any business papers, or he will loose his disability check which I guess is pretty good. Thats where I come in. He has done business with other breeders in the area Ira, Champ, Randy Wright, and a few others. I met him through Champ Thompson (who would kill me for putting his name online!!). I visited his "facility" and was amazed. Jeff literally has been breeding king snakes for two decades and has a few animals that no one else has ever seen or bred such as these albinos I just showed you guys. He sold his animals to the local breeders, a few local pet shops and a rodent breeder out of Colorado that I will leave un-named. He was selling them as regular cal kings so that no one would know to market them and actually be able to steal his ideas. If you don't know what you have you can't steal an idea right? So I met with him and discussed posting his stuff on my website. He agreed and is now the primary breeder for my business. He is also slated to be my shows manager in 2006 when my web based business will get a retail location and a traveling trade show crew. You guys will be hearing a lot more about Jeff Mintz when I am through with his story, he really is a great undiscovered breeder. Check out a little more on him at my site: www.iereptile.com Please, this is not an ad. The site is in the middle of a remodel and I really don't care if anyone visits. I just thought it would be cool to see some other stuff. Soon I'll have a page up of future projects for everyone to view.
Those sure are nice. Since you guys have some of Lloyd's Cape Kings I was wondering do you have any of Lloyd's thayeri?
We have a small group 1.2, but haven't had much time to make much a project of them. Just kind of a side project. Don't get me wrong I love Thayeri but since we have so many other projects going its not something we have done much with.
