This is the awesome possible het amel male I picked up from Chip....
Looks too pure to even think it is a cross or hybrid in my book.

Thanks for the compliments Zenny.....
I consider myself luck to be one of the few to get some of these.
These guys have big plans over here at my house.
Like Tom stated earlier....I plan to breed them into the blaze phase and high reds and breed them to each other.....
That is the reason I picked up two amel goini and a possible het male. This is a project for sure....nothing will happen quick that is for sure....Things like this keep this hobby interesting for me.

This one has close to 30 bands and is a sibling to the possible het.......Still not enough evidence for me, especially since the stock WAS collected in the ANF.....period.

.
John, I don't know what its het for but that is a nice looking king. For my personal aesthetics the blotched specimens are hard to beat. Phil
Thanks a ton Phil,
This Goini is a sibling to the amel Goini...so it is possible het amel.
John Lassiter
unless someone can 'convince' me with some facts(?) as to where, when, and by whom the original amelanistic goini forefathers were captured?or,if such is the case, the same info regarding the heterozygous parent(s) to whom these captive born amel. goinis trace back to?thanks.....until then, though,i will just keep presuming these guys got their amelanism from someone's florida king or speckled king;or less likely, from one of the few amelanistic true eastern kings....yeah i know these are all the same species and thus produce offspring with viable sperm/eggs....but integrades, let alone hybrids, should be sold as what they really are, right?
Justinian......
YOU don't have to buy in to it....
Don't purchase any and be happy.
I am not here to please the likes of people like you.
You guys know there is a lot more going on in the herp world than this little forum.............................Peace!
John Lassiter
not meant in a derogatory way to or about you at all, really just expressing my frustration when someone(as i feel was done with the first amel. goini in captivity) introduces something other than exactly what it will be labeled and marketed as.agin i am not accusing you of this at all-i have seen so called amel goinis for at least a few years now,or a couple generations' worth...and i doubt that was the first...i just say 'buyer beware' when it comes to morphs like amel goinis
YEP...I have seen them too....but they aren't like these I got.
The parental stock to the "others" did not come from the ANF like the ones Chip, Tom and I have........
NOW....I hope I never produce an albino thayeri........Damn...and there goes the hypo thayeri I am working on....
John Lassiter
I don't agree with anything type of person. Perfect, I surely don't want to to argee with anything, Hey the suns going to come up tomorrow. Don't believe it man. Sad, FR

I counted this ones bands and got a count of 25.....what does that mean??????
John Lassiter
"Looks too pure to even think it is a cross or hybrid in my book."
Whether I believe that is a real goini or not is irrelevant but just looking pure in no way means that it isn't a cross. Even the hybrid enthusiasts will admit that an albino FL king bred into goini over a few generations is going to look like a goini.
(I'm not an anti-morph guy....I think some are kinda neat but in this case I think the het is much more attractive)
Chris
Thanks Chris.....
I can assure you though that these were not crossed with Floridana, even though goini do cross with floridana and easterns.
Parental stock came from the ANF.....
John Lassiter
That way when he produces them maybe I can get a couple......HAHAHAHA. Niceeeeee John
Toby
Thanks Toby...
Production for me is a couple years away though...
John Lassiter

John, Are you saying "goini" naturally intergrade with floridana? Florida King's range does not come this far over in the FL panhandle and they do not intergrade with "goini".
NO Sean....You say you see Floridana influence due to a "band count".......If that were true a Floridana would have had to cruise a long way up to the ANF to breed with this guy's parental stock.....
