Expecting

Jeff Clark Aug 29, 2005 11:17 PM

This female looks like she is tired of being gravid. She was eating pretty heavily for a couple weeks after her last mating but has had nothing to eat in 5 months now. I have quite a few that are blowed up like this and two that do not look so gravid but have palpable lumps. Most of these are just over 6 months since last observed matings. This is several weeks longer than most gestations here in the past. I hope they all don't lay the same day.

I still have two of those myself, one passed a little urate today, hoping that will mean the babies are coming soon.

This week will be busy for me, 92 babies due to shed! Plus two more litters due. Ah well, way better than slugs!!
