A little photography in AZ..dialup warning (long)

jpenney Aug 30, 2005 12:49 AM

I was in AZ for the last few weeks and got a few photos I thought I'd share. Pretty much all taken on the Tohono O'Odham Res.

And my personal favorite find of the trip was this:

....those are incredible jpgs Jason...the Babo pk thru the clouds shot is particularly sweet. I love that robberfly too...theyre wonderful, any bug that munches other bugs is a gr8t bug! Congrats on the geeler too.
I think you owes me a photography lesson tho...

Thanks Senor..that Gila was cool. It's nice to find a lizard that doesn't do everything at warp speed.

Patrick,

Your photography is fantastic. I loved the velvet mite and the Babs pic, and that flying dragonfly is unreal. Please send me an email so I can talk to you about the gila.

Isn't Baboquivari Peak considered sacred? I wonder if anyone knows more about that? Anyway, I got an evening shot from Hopkins that I liked (long distance)...

some of what I hope to see in a few days! Great shots and yes you gotta love Babo in the rain, nothing like it in the world, easy to look out over the res and pretend its a hundred years ago.

I actually thought the same thing working around there. I actually found an old Indian camp there too but touching anythying on the res is a no no.
