He sure is lookin great. I'm jealous.lol. Wish I had an old enough female this season. I let Foster with one of my females the other day all he did was mount her and that was it, just laid on top of her with a big black beard.lol. Not sure what the problem is. Maybe the female is just not ready, she is 14 months old. So I'm waiting for next season I guess. I should have some killer pastels and oranges next season I hope, if all goes well. When you introduce the male to the female do you leeve them together for a few days, or do they breed pretty quick? Do they attempt to nip each other in the butt or is this a sign that they want no part of breeding? Thanks for any info. They look great

Thanks, lol. I'm jealous of a few dragons you have on your picture gallery myself. It's amazing how many awesome dragons there are out there.
About the breeding.. our male Ceasar did that too the first few times I tried to breed him... if this is the first time Foster is trying to breed.. it will take him a couple of tries to get the hang of it.. what I would do is put them together a few times a week for a while.. if you have two males put them out on the floor with the female and let them get all fired up.. then put Foster alone with the female and leave them be for awhile.. i don't leave them for days unattended because I like to "control" the breeding and know when it's happened... just keep doing it few days until it happens.. it should.
We have a huge Hypo/Snow that is like 670 that we can't get him to breed.. he likes the "smaller" girls lol. Yes, they sometimes will bite at each other.. but most of the time if they are ready to breed they will lift there tail slightly and he will breed. Try putting them in different cages, the floor, a box... different things will trigger different dragons.
let me know how it goes,

Thanks for the tips brandon. Sounds like a good idea putting the two males out with the female and getting them all macho.lol. They are so funny. I think my younger hypo pastel buddy will mate before Foster. He seems like he's ready,or atleast more aggresive expecially with the real orange girl Candy I got from Chris. I'm sure that would make for an interesting cross. A Hypo Pastel X red/orange Snow. We'll se what happens. It's a mystery what I'll have next season. I wish I had the experience and knew who to match with who. That seems to be the hardest part for me is to choose which pairs I want to to breed first.lol. This season I got three more babies, so then when they are ready I'm really going to have a lot to choose from. Right know i got a 2.2 ready to breed. Next season I'll have a 3.4. Thats when I'll be able to breed the Hypo pastel pairs. Can't wait.lol

Sounds good... look forward to seeing your babies.. I wouldn't worry to much about mixing and matching your dragons.. trying different breedings produce some wierd and new stuff.. unless you are tring for a specific color i'd just go with it really.. if you want yellow, obviously you want to breed yellow to yellow instead of yellow to red or what not.. but it really depends on the dragons.
To give you an idea of what you can get.. our Red x Yellow/Orange pair this season has thrown a few entirely orange/red dragons, a few entirely yellow dragons, a few entirely orange dragons, two extremely pale white/yellow dragons, and the rest have been a mixture of red/orange/yellow.. some with more of each and creating some really neat effects.
The best part about breeding dragons is seeing what comes out of the egg.. it's like xmas after every shed lol.

I just took those last "group" pics I posted the other day. She was going into shed then and is in full shed now. The tip of her nose has already shed and it is a "bright"!!! yellow. I can't wait to see her new outfit. LOL I'll post a new pic when she comes out of the dressing room.
Later.
Joel
