This week I noticed several mole trails in my turtle pen. I'm guessing they're attracted to it because there are lots of worms in my pen. However, I'm concerned that they may be digging into nests and eating eggs. I have dug up the majority of the nests, but I can't check the pen every evening and its possible there are nests that I missed. Anyone know if moles eat eggs, or do they just eat insects?

I checked the VA fish & wildlife info on eastern, or common moles. There was no mention of turtle eggs being a part of their diet, that I could find. They are considered to be beneficial overall, because they aerate the soil and consume large quantities of insect larvae.
