There's something else I meant to add to our previous discussion on those WC Apalachicola Kings I bought from Len Krysko but the thread got deleted. To raise more questions about that pair, I know they went through several hands before Len got them. I'm not sure how long the Sokol's had them but I believe someone unknown bought them, I think Kevin Enge may have had them for a while, and then Len Krysko. So I can not say with 100% certainty that they are WC since I did not find them myself. Either way, their history was maintained and that is why I bought the pair. As you can probably tell, I questioned the heck out of this pair and everyone I got info from was more than willing to tell me what they knew.

Thanks. I wouldn't worry about the unknowns. The history you have is as good as it gets. Darn few keepers can say they have the complete skinny on their collections. I've always openly admitted this fact. What I need to work on is keeping my blood presure down when people who might know even less, claim purity or locality specific.

My observation had pretty much come down to this, the really serious locality guys like Aaron and Chris H don't generally concern themselves with captive-breeding and if they do they're able to compartmentalize the two efforts. I feel like I do the same but for some unknown reason I have an almost irresistable impulse to try and counter those who come across as using locality as a marketing tool.

As has been said by many people there's plenty room in the sand box for all manner of herpers from the real locality guys to the radical hybridizers.

I'll also add, (and I know I'm just as guilty as the next guy) that just because this is America where we are free to express our negative opinions doesn't mean we always should.

I will back Sean up on his queastioning the heck out of Lenny. I had to wait about 10 minutes while he talked about them and it was a pre-arranged deal from what I gathered. Luckily it was at Daytona so I had plenty to do but I didn't think Sean would ever stop asking queastions.LOL This was my one and only meeting with Sean and most of it was spent waiting for him to shut up and leave, but I would have to say I had gained some respect for the kind of person he was for his efforts.
Later Jason
