Not dead, but a little wounded. Those of us that are not out west, but stuck back here with reality, well, it is just that time of year when the shadows get longer and the days get shorter and you know that if you aren't there now you are missing the last REAL chance of the year.. Most of the eggs have hatched and now it is just feeding and getting ready for winter.
My girlfriend thinks I am going off the deep end and it takes from now till spring to get over it. I guess that is why snakes hibernate, nothing else to do. It was a great year. I saw some good friends and missed a few. I saw some cool snakes(and missed a few) and that reminds me, I can't wait till next year.

Rick,
We live in Texas. We can find snakes every month of the year man! Ok, maybe not alterna anytime you want them, but for me the road goes on forever and the party never ends.

AMEN!
Lovin' every minute of it!

Yeah, this year I was beat, but not beaten. I'm in it for the long haul! Lepidus, Bogeys, and Hypsies off the life list, and an albino Rio Grande leopard tadpole is an o.k. place to start for a first timer. I'll be back!
