I start to advertise them after they readily take food on their own. I wait until they have had 5-6 meals before I send them out.

That is what I've always heard, after 5-6 meals!

I posted my hatchlings for sale after 3 meals and figure they will be at 6 meals when sold.... although they are already agressive FT rat feeders!! *dances for joy*

That is, eating consistently. Also, ask how often they are fed. One breeder may feed one meal every 4 days while another feeds one meal every 7 days. Also ask about food count. Some breeders count 2 mice, for example, as two meals, even if they were eaten the same day.

Personally, I like to get them eating 10 meals consistently. That would be 10 regularly scheduled meals.
