so i took helga and hugo to the vet today to see about helga's toes and to ask about the hard spot on hugo's side. the vet said that it looks like some blood flow has been reestablished so she did not want to cut the toes off just yet. so they still have to live on paper towels for now.
hugo, on the other hand, cost me alot more and i just took him along as precaution. she felt the hard spot and opened it, some stuff came out and she said he has an infection and they took a swab to send off to cytology and for an aerobic culture since we have no idea how he got the infection. he hasn't been acting weird and he hasn't been injured, so i am at a loss. but those tests are costing me a pretty penny, ah the things i do for my children. i have to give him injections for the next month, which i hate doing because i feel bad sticking him with a needle
but on a happier note, helga was 322 grams at her last visit and was 349 today, up from 177 after i got her and got the bugs out of her system, she is the same length so you can imagine how thin she was. it's been a year and three months.
hugo was alot tinier last november, in length and weight. he was 82.5 grams and today he was 228.5 grams, which is a huge difference!
