How do you get such great closeups? I can't get one's like that for some reason. They're not that big when I save them. More like 25% Is there a secret? I take the picture with the little flower there.

I have a Nikon coolpix SQ...and sadly if I had a coolpix 4200 or 5200 I could get shots 50x as good as that! I just put the camera on close-up mode though, and try to get as much light on the snake as possible without washing the colors out. Any of the newer nikon line pocket digitals have a macro-mode capable of taking shots from 2 inches away.

I have been able to get some nice closeups with my camera of flowers and things. I just can't seem to get it to focus when the darn snake is moving around all the time. Plus, when I go to work on it on the computer, it always seems to save it at 22-25% of the original size instead of 100%. I haven't figured out why.

Well, for starters, I do all my shots during the day, and my biak refuses to move for almost any reason before 7pm. As for saving it at a smaller size...it may just be the comp is "zooming out" in order to show the whole picture...I can't see how or why it would completely resize the image without you making it do so.
