VFR Aug 31, 2005 02:12 PM

Well, it's finally here. What do you guys think? Does this boa say "jungle" to you? Wouldn't jungle coral albinos be awesome?

Here is a 100% jungle

Here are some of the boas I picked up within the last year. Can you guess all the boas in this pile?

here is another pic.

Thanks for looking,

That is not a jungle, there are certain things I do not see in that boa. One cannot argue with that high quality morph collection you have there.

No worries though, I just like to act like I know everything :O)

Great looking boa, and if he proves out, you lucked out as no doubt you probably paid fraction of the price of a jungle.

I am too new to really say either way, but I wanted to pose a question to others...lets think about the logic behind breeders saying poss jungle.
Because it is different from poss het albino, where given the ratio (50%, 66%), it is really a coin toss, 2 out of 3 being good odds.
If we say from 1 to 100, where 1 is normal and 100 being Jungle. Are "Poss Jungles" ones that the breeder judged to be more than 50 or less than 50?? I would guess that if a snake was more than 50, the breeder would probably hold it until it showed more sign so as to not lose potential revenue. So that would leave the ones that are less than 50 to be label Poss Jungle.
So I would think that most poss jungles will turn out to be normal and of couse only a small percentage will luck out as Jungle, hence the much lower price...gamble.
As in any theory, I am sure there are holes in this one, but just a thought.

Also, for borderline Jungles, even picture are hard to determine...so having it in your hand could be more telling.

You are correct but we need to see WHO is the person labeling them as possible jungles. Out of all breeders out there, who would you rather have tell you the boa looks like it could possibly be a jungle?

Also understand this, I'm sure Peter has more jungles then anyone else; I don't think that loosing a possible jungle would hurt him much. That is why I don't think he hesitated to sell me that boa (maybe the 20k I spent with him this year helped a little too).
