"Great Stuff" foam...thinking about makeing a cage with some....

lilroach56 Aug 31, 2005 03:10 PM

I just got some BARRS cages for my BP and my leopard gecko. My BP will be moving out sometime into a full sized cage for it. However I don't think i will be changing the leopard gecko cage. I'm thinking about makeing a fake rock kinda thing along the bottom (with 3 Concealed hides in the bottom),sides, and back. Has anyone ever used great stuff to make the fake rock? I'm wondering if i should use cement to texture/color or if i could use sillicon to glue sand onto it? Also what would be a good sealer that isn't a pain to put on and would dry clear?

If i apply the great stuff will i be able to take it out somehow at a later date?

if you build hides into the fake rock, be sure you have a way to clean them. or you will be kicking yourself later

Took me like three hours to figure out how to do it. I'm putting the base of the hide into the first layer of foam. then i'm going to build a "top" of foam onto the top of the hide.
