FUNNY STORIES

well here is how my funny story goes.... First i should start by saying that my sulcatas are always outside (accept for winters) and everyone in the neighborhood knows my mom as the turtle lady. so the story goes one morning about 10 am i get a call from one of my nieghbors saying there is a huge snapping turtle on these peoples front porch in our neighborhood and living near a river this does not seem impossible. so i first go outside to make sure our tortoise are still with us and not wondering the subdivision. after finding our tortoise still locked up i get in my car to check it out and as i am turning the corner what do i see???????? about a five or six year old sulcata tortoise walking casually across the road!!!!!!!! yeah with a bewildered look on my face i quickly snag up the tortoise and take him home. after telling my mom and my brother about what had happened and showing them the tortoise we tried to put the tortoise in with the others which i might add did not work out well so we seperated the new tortoise.
Well about 5 that evening we notice a car going around to each mailbox and dropping off a piece of paper so we decide to check it out and guess what it says "MISSING SULCATA TORTOISE" with a good story in hand i called the number and told him i had his tortoise well come to find out he lives about 2 miles away and the tortoise had only been missing since the night before. well he got his tortoise back and i made a new contact and everyone was happy.
and to this day my brother and i always agrue about who catches more turtles and who or who is not the turtlemaster and the conversation always seems to end when i say well you have never caught a sulcata tortoise and i have. so until the day he catches one i guess i am still the turtlemaster.

LOL Sounds like it's true, you are still winning with that one.
What LUCK for that tortoise owner though! To have lost his tortoise & it just so happens another sulcata owner (you) catches it & he gets his tortoise back. That's great!
