Pastel Albino question?

davel Sep 01, 2005 06:11 PM

Hey, how come there are not more Pastel Albino's produced other then Jeff. Since the Pastel trait is mainly selective breeding (you know, the reduction in black allowing us to be able to pick prettier, more colorful boas to use for breeding), is every one else using some UGLY Hets...LOL?

Any thought?

Jeff has been selective breeding for over 20 years to get the look of that pastel albino and not even the majoirty of his albinos look like that. I'm sure there are alot of albinos out there with pastel traits just not to the extent that some of his have displayed, I just think they often get labeled as coral or coralish rather than pastel. In some cases a very "ugly" brown het can make for some awesome albinos because of the underlying color on the "ugly" het.
