Thinking about getting a tortis. Extreme newbie to the scene. Can any one help....

I an thinking of getting a tortise. I want to start with a hatchling. But i would like one that gets fairly large. Where do i start. I have experience with other reptile and amphibs. I have a bearded dragon, water dragon, various stages of bullfrogs, leopard frogs, albino pacman frog, african clawed frog, a brand new baby bullhead catfish( Yippie ) a few piranahas and a few blue gill, but any ways if some one could help with some suggestions i would greatly appreciate it. thank you im advance

Please define "fairly large" in terms of length or weight.

I dont want to end up with like a 200lb animals, but want one that gets bigger than say a box turtle or a stinkpot. sorry i am really new to the tortises. I would say probably one that gets atleast 25 lbs or more.
