I SEE EVERYONE HAVING GOOD LUCK WITH BABIES THIS MONTH.........

koky6869 Sep 01, 2005 11:02 PM

Even myself .. I was down because today the last of a north brazilian litter i had about a week ago died. They were a bit premature and wayyyy too many of em . I think it was 42 total if im not mistaken including the unfertalised ova . I think my temps were a bit too high . But this is the 1st time ever breeding bcc. So i was a bit "TOO" cautious and it bit me in the ass. i was worried that my other gravid female , a surinam . was gonna suffer the same consequences .. Fortunately i had a bit better luck with her .. My temps will surely be right next time .. ive bred bci numerous times since i was around 14 years old .. but lemme tell you .. BCC is wayyyyy harder . But luckily i atleast have some babies . She had 27 total .. 5 slugs ,4 stills & 18 HEALTHY BABIES .

hope you guys like

THIS IS MY SON TRYING TO KEEP EM INSIDE WHILE I SEPERATE THE MALES FROM THE FEMALES .. IT WASNT GONNA HAPPEN .. LOL .. HAD TO LOOK FOR A BETTER WAY :D AND BTW .. IS THERE SOME WIERD TAILS ON SOME OF EM ? THE MOM WAS A LADDERTAIL I POSTED A COUPLE DAYS AGO .. AND THE FATHER WAS A FRENCH GUIANA OWNED NOW BY JOHN JOHNSON OF JOHNSON HERPS .. I BELIEVE THEY GOT THE TAILS FROM HIM BECAUSE THERE WASNT BUT 1 LADDERTAIL LIKE MOM AND IT WAS A STILL BORN MALE . THANKS FOR LOOKIN, KOKY

I wanted to make sure I heard this right,You kept the babies or the gravid mother at too high temps. What temps was your enclosure.I'm asking because I am going to attempt a suri breeding for the first time this season.

ash i kept the mom at around 84 to 86 degrees but a few times the thermostat would stick (cheap stuff doesnt pay) and it went to 90 a couple of times. my fault of course .

Those babies are awesome. I might have something that your son would like too. Some of our most recent litter seem to have a bit of color!!
