Future breeder Thayeri....

jlassiter Sep 01, 2005 11:17 PM

Just took some pics of some young thayeri that will be some potentially awesome breeders in the future.

The first one is my only 2004 holdback female.....She has nice washed out or "keyholed" saddles.

The second pic is of a female thayeri I picked up at Daytona. She is a 2005 hatch and also has the nice "hallow" or "keyholed" saddles.

The last pic is of an awesome "very reduced" or "no black" thayeri female that I picked up in Daytona from Mitch Allen. She is also a 2005 hatch.

Let me know what you think....

Thanks....
I have been working on a "no black" thayeri since some reduced blacks popped out of my Vivid line in 2000 and 2002.

When I saw this one I could not resist. It is a female and so are my other two reduced black ones.....I am going to breed the reduced black ones to their brother next year to see if I can make one as nice as the one in the third pic.......We'll see.

Here are the other two reduced black females....

U R Welcome Jetzen. I guess that is why these things are so addicting. One must get every possible color and pattern and combination there of. No one can get them all....I think their possibilities are endless....

That is a great looking snake, John. Good find! I can't wait to see it as it grows.

Thanks Tom....I think I was lucky to get to Daytona real early.
I think this one would have been sold if I would have gotten there any later.
Mitch Allen had a lot of nice ones. He did a real good job with these....

Thanks Paul.....
I am lucky to have gotten her...IMO.
I like the keyholed ones too. Dan Vermilya produced his "leopard" thayeri by line breeding the keyholed ones. I am working on an orange "leopard" thayeri, but I am generations away.....LOL

They are hard to get hold of in england, i agree the keyhole phase are real stuners too.

I hope you have great results with your orange "leopard" thayeri project.
