It's been about 2 weeks since my 20" regal ringneck snake had eaten. I'm pretty sure it was her setup... she obviously wasn't a fan of the paper towels. I switched her back to aspen, with a piece of newspaper to hide under. Let a 5" shorthead garter snake crawl under.

The snake was bit 1 time, on the neck. Died in 2 minutes! Average time from bite to death on a garter that small is usually 4 minutes. 2 minutes is the quickest time I have ever heard of.

I guess the snake's venom was more potent because it hadn't eaten in a while. Pics coming soon... They aren't good though, the flash competes with the aspen bedding...
