Weird Leopard tortoise action...

rudedogsurfrat Jul 18, 2003 08:26 AM

I've got a 12" female Leopard and a 8" 3 year old male. The male usually does alot of fake "air" humping. Yesterday we saw my adult female on top of him doing the same thing. Fake humping, head back, making grunting noises. I'm 100% sure she is a female so that is not the question.

Females will sometimes do the "humping" action. It is more of dominence, I believe than anything else. Could possibly also mean that she is ready to breed.

Hopefully someone else can chime in on the subject.
