moddlasnake Sep 02, 2005 11:13 AM

hi, im feeding my corn a fuzzie once a week and in the last month he has gained 15 grams
aprox 5 feedings ago he denied food, then regurged the one he ate, he lost several grams and dropped to 22 with a length of 24.5"
if this is an unhealthy or perfectly normal weight gain please let me know because i could make a longer feeding schedule

thanks

Check the temps. If there fine is your corn pooping? Are you handling to soon after a meal?Sometimes they just regurge to freak you out.One fuzzy a week isnt overfeeding.I will sometimes skip feeding them until I see they have relieved themselves...Paul

When my snake was the right size to be feeding fuzzies, I was feeding him every 4 days. Even at 13 months and 35 inches, he is getting 1 adult mouse every 6 days.

Hopefully the following info will help. My snake was 15 inches long at the beginning of December 2004. He was born on 7.22.04. Now, he is 35 inches at about 13 months old. I never weighed him though. He has grown about 2.5 inches a month since I got him. At 26 inches in the middle of April, he was getting 2 small fuzzies every 4 days.
