That is awful news, but I am glad to hear you and Tim are safe. Have you heard from Jeff from Swampland? Tom Stevens

RobStevens Sep 02, 2005 01:15 PM

Jeff at Swampland is okay.He came by yesterday and all of his animals survived the storm. He is just trying to keep them healthy without power.
Thanks ROB

I'm glad you and Louise are okay and I'm glad Jeff and his family and Walter Smith and his family are okay. I didn't know Tim at all but I'm glad he made it okay. I hate that his animals didn't make it. I would be willing to give him some animals if he wants to get back into it. Don

That's terrible that it happened. Thankfully he has a friend like you.
Please give him my regards.

Having been through a mild version of what happening now last year in Florida I would like to offer some help. Let us know what a fellow herper needs and I am sure a few others will help. I know we can't get his house back and he is probably not thinking about snakes right now but I would be more thsn willing to donate some animals to get him going again when he is ready.

One one end what was in his collection?? What was he working with? On the other end are you guys somewhere where you can get packages of aid? Water, food, and what not and do you need that kind of thing.

Lastly I can only offer my simpathy for what you have going on down there. Good Luck

Tim, I know we have had our differences about snake stuff but I am truly sorry to hear about your loss.

First I am glad you got out alive. Second I hope there will be funds (insurance and fed help) and jobs to rebuild your life. I can only say I hope the best for your family and stay strong.

Yes your snakes are irreplacable but so is the rest of your life. I can't imagine what it must be like. Please keep us updated and when things settle maybe some of us can help recoupe some of your losses.

God speed and I hope the time passes quickly for you.

Tim,
When things get going for you again and snakes become a thought in your head let us know. I for one will still be willing to let you have some animals to get going. As I said before I went through the storms on the east coast of Florida last year and I know in a way what you have now. I only lost my roof over my living room and the furniture that was in there. One cage and my electronics, computer and some other things. It really puts your family and friends in perspective. The situation you are in is far worse but I hope it makes your family that much sweeter. Good Luck. Take down my email and let me know this season or next what your interests are and I will see what I can do for you.
