hey eve,
it's good to see cleo after a long time. i think the last pic i saw was when she was trying to go up the stairs!
she's quite the big girl at 20 inches. Dog is almost 18 inches the last time i checked (which was about 1 month ago). can i consider them as pen pals?
thanks for sharing the pic!

pen - pals with Dog! Think she would like mor ethan that if he were here, LOL

Yes, it's been awhile, I have to start giving everyone equal camera time !

Its tough , I have the day time bunch, then when I get them to bed, the night time crew awakes, need to mist and feed them all, before I quit for the night, just to start all over in the mornning !

I sure do enjoy them all though.

I thought he was reacting well to the antibiotics.
He seemed more normal, complete with attitude.....
Then he stopped eating completely(he would never deny a mealworm)
Brought him back in.
He had lost another 35 grams.....
Managed to upset him at the vets enough to get a fecal.
Blood work concluded that his infection was very acute.
Fecal was negative for nematodes but there was presence of amoeba organisms.
The fecal produced no blood, but the loss of weight is disconcerning.
More so was during the examination Thor started having muscle spasms in his extremities.
His fingers and toes were "twitching".
"How long has that been occuring ?"
"First I have seen it."
"Is he usually this docile?"
"he is not aggressive but will whip you with his tail."
"This is not directly related to the skin necrosis...but I am not sure which to treat first."
A brief insight to the vet exam. Not to blame , but I think he is at a loss.
So things have gotten much worse.
The "blister disease" appears to be lessening. But the other symptoms are so much more distressing.
Will keep the updates....

I wonder what the heck is causing this ! So strange that you have had 2 get this. Must be something someone is harbouring somehow.

The twitches are you sure its not calcium related? We all know tremors/ twitches can come from the lack of calcium.

** But also B complex vitimins can help with nervous system conditions. And good for skin/scales. Just a thought.

Let us know , hope he can beat this thing

I did not include that part of the discussion. The vet did think that possibly the lack in diet was causing a drop in calcium absorption and did give me some neocalgucon.
The b complex vit never were discussed but I will lokk into it.
Thanks for all the help.
We'll see how he does....

Wow, what a beautiful girl. Can't wait for mine to get that size. You did a great job with her with her burns. Keep those pictures coming, they are always fun to look at.
