I put NO bleach in the tank, just a small amount (from a mist bottle) on a paper towell, i used the towell to wipe down the cage. Followed by a heavy rinse with clean water. We have used a dilluted bleach soloution for years at the vets office I help out at (maybe 10% bleach or so), this time i dilluted the soloution in half again (so maybe 5% bleach). The bleach was not sprayed in the cage at all, no chance of mist on remaining substrate. i am really not worried about the bleach....

What I cant figure out is how the cat got in. The cage is almost 100% covered by the lighting setup. There is a 2" open crack that goes lengthwise down the cage, that really it. Usually the cat is not allowed antwhere near the torts, she is a sneaky cat and somewhow found a way...

thanks for the reply..
