Ball Not Thermoregulating!!

BoidBoy77 Sep 02, 2005 07:27 PM

My ball python, who is around 4 years old, is not thermoregulating!
All he does is stay on the cool end of the tank. I dont know why. The temperatures in the cage are correct. The warm end is around 82-84 degrees F, and the cool end is around 78-80 degrees F, where she spends most of her time. I dont know why shes doing this. It kind of worries me because every time I ger her out, shes pretty cold to the touch. What should I do? Is she alright? Any suggestions would be greatley appreciated.

My male boa is doing the same thing, I have noticed that when it gets nearer to winter and breeding time he likes the cold better, I dont think its anything to worry about at this time of the year, they might go off food as well pretty soon.

good luck

steve
