Baby Veileds and The Great Screen Question

Solomon Jul 18, 2003 09:58 AM

Hi there, I've searched around for an answer to this, with no luck. I'm going to make some cages for baby veilds and wanted to make them all screen. First off, should they be in an all screen cage after hatching, or should they be in an all glass cage for the first few weeks? Second, does anyone know a good screen to use for something that small!?!

Thanks.

yes they can be in screen cages and the screen you should use should be thin enough so crix cant get through and it should not be metal they can break their toenails on it.

I use an insect screen from Home Depot. It gives good visibilty and stands up pretty good, it is also rather inexpensive.
