>>I've been pretty lucky (careful?) in terms of escapes these past few years. Only two got out, and both were found right away. Well, my Bairds is GONE! I'm pretty sure he even got out of my snake room into the basement. I've read all the advice over the years, and I still like the "just keep looking" motto the best. Although I may sit down there in the dark tonight for awhile and listen for movement. I've also often thought: "What are you doing posting messages when you should be searching?" Well, you just have to take a break from THAT fun activity every once & awhile. Oh well...Back to the basement with me. Wish me luck. Duffy
I was cleaning tanks and changing water last night and apparently left the lid partially open on one of my creamsicle's tank. She was the second one I got when I got back into snakes.
I woke up this morning (6:00 A.M.)to let the dogs out, and feed the dogs and cats, and when I went back to bed I couldn't sleep so I turned on the tv.
I was kind of nodding in and out and a DVD fell off the tv stand. I didn't think much about, just figured one of the cats knocked it off. Well a few minutes later while I was flipping channels I noticed this head start up the television screen. I jumep up, turned on the light, and was surprised to see Yoda my creamsicle girl curled around the television.
I took her backed to her tank and saw then that I didn't secure the back of the lid.
I got extremely lucky.
