Very nice! And I'm glad you posted them here anyway, LOL! I like looking at pics of these BEAUTIFUL animals. I have three of those little buggers and they were picky at first, but they're all eating now. Are those captive born or WC?
All of mine are WC (found by ME in Vel Verde county earlier this year) Here's a pic of three of them (I found four of them total) First pic is a 31" male dark blairs, a clean light phase blairs, and a small female dark phase.
Eastern kings (& Indigos) Still RULE though!!!
Zee
Zeester! When you get tired of them ugly ol' alternas, I'll be willin' to take 'em off your hands, you know, to spare you the hassle! LOL! I LOVE IT!!! They look marvelous! I think a trip to Florida is in the works next year, with some sides to N.C. and S.C. Are you game?
Todd Hughes
Hey Todd!!! Wha Sappenin' man!!!
How's your animals doing?
Hopefully the price of gas won't reach 10 bucks by next spring, LOL! Other than that, I am all for it!
Zee
It's not funny, I'm finally figuring out the downside of living in Texas! It's sooooo dang hot, almost everything is four feet under! In winter we can find snakes, but high summer you have to stay up 'till 6:00 a.m.! And let's not EVEN get started on the gas thing, SHEESH! This is really gonna put a crimp on the field collecting. AAAAAWWW, NUTS! That's o.k. 'cause John and Tom are cookin' up some real cool stuff, and I can go see some great stuff while I await erebennus mating season coming up! Lampropeltus g. errebenus and future Drymarchon e. nigrita! LOL!

Hey nice finds there.
Mine are cb from Blair's X alterna phase.
:Mark
Thanks Mark. I can tell you having CB's is definetely easier when it comes to feeding time, but mine are finally getting the hang of it (after several month, LOL)!
Zee
Wow! I herp for years and seldom find anything other than Garters or Rattlers. Of course I live in the Pacific NW, which does not help.
We went looking for Mountain Kings last weekend, only found Rattlers. I'm green with envy that you found 3 wild-caught kingsnakes! I need to move!!
Don't know, however, why you prefer Easterns when you have Gray-bandeds. I'm more & more intrigued with Speckleds and Eastern Blacks, but so far have kept only 1 specimen, my desert phase Cal King in a 60-gallon desert vivarium.
Well, to be honest: If gray-bands would get as big as my BIG Easterns they WOULD be my favorites. Don't get me wrong, I still like em' a lot since I am keeping them and hoping to breed them when the females get a little older.
BUT: There's nothing like holding a 5-6 foot Kingsnake in your hand. It is simply an awesome priviledge! I don't like the boids and pythons, but love large, shiny colubrids and of course colorful ones too.
Pic of my female (high-red) Eastern King from Will Still.

There is that one with all the color again....I really love that one Zee.....Much better than the black and whites or brown and creams........LOL
John Lassiter
I don't know, John, I seen some outstanding, perfect chains at Zee's and I have to say, knowing they won't lose what they have makes them all the more desirable to me, although I hope Zee will make one of those for me! (HINT, HINT!)LOL!
Todd Hughes

Perfect by my standards is the ones with color.....HAHAHAHAHAHA
Black and white is just too dull for me unless they are as variable as Calkings....Easterns are not......Goini are though.....LOL
But....NOTHING can be as variable as the Variable Kingsnake....Thayeri!!!
John Lassiter
But....IF Goini are in fact Easterns, then they are the only locale I enjoy.
Also....those South GA Easterns are okay as well as the Edisto Island ones and Mosaics are pretty nice.....It is amazing how the Ediso Island kings look much like Goini from the Panhandle of FL in the Apalachicola Nat'l Forest........
John Lassiter
That is easterns With ALL kinds of colors: Reds, yellows, pinks, orange, white, blue, green, and most of all: PURPLE!!!
Wouldn't that be the day??? LMAO!!! Just give me about three hundred more years to live and I'll get there!!! Yeah, yeah, that's it; I'll get there by golly!!!
So where's your purple Thayeri?????????????????????????
Zee
A little late Todd, but yes, I've read your reply and be happy to oblige! As soon as next year! My 03'Ga. male is already over 50", so he'll be busy next spring!
Zee
Now I see what you were doing. Thought at first you misspelled. You got me...
