Well guys it was too good to be true.I pulled her off her eggs and they were all infertile you know all yellow and nasty looking.But at leasst I know she can breed I think this was hers and spots first time.then theres always next year also she has retained her blue and is just as beautiful as ever.

hey tuna,sorry to hear about that but its nice to hear shes holding that nice blue color.think itll last?i have heard that a few hormonal blues actually stay blue after their first clutch so lets hope shes one of them.was this your first attempt at breeding?i thought i had a pairing last month but i guess it wasnt to be.

ohh man, that kinda sucks...
but your are right, their is always next time...

as far as the blue... i think it usually lasts till about the time the eggs are supposed to hatch...
also, i have heard that some girls retain their blue after their 3rd breeding or so, i cant think of any that kept it on the first time... she is going to be a hot snake either way...

Hey,
Sorry to hear that. I know that this species is very typically difficult to breed so to lose or not get anything, is hurtful. I've bred my pair every year, since they matured and I know for a fact that the pair have been successful as a direct result and correlation also, of the induced cooling period given them each fall into winter. I don't know if you cooled them off or not, but this is an almost imperative process in the attempts to produce fertile chondro eggs or offspring.
