Pink Belly

viperbitex Sep 03, 2005 12:38 PM

Hello. I've had snakes for pets for about 3 years now, and I've tried to absorb as much info about hets and morphs as I can. I just purchased a seemingly normal columbian red tail, but she has a super bright pink belly and very pastel pink sides. Her tail is just the normal redish brown. I've heard that some hets have traits that give away what they are het for. I'm not sure if that sentance made sence, but like, I've heard that hets for stripe have bumps on their noses, that ball pythons het for pieball have yellow bellys, so I was wondering if anyone has heard of or knows if there is anything pink bellies are possible trade marks for something else. Thanx!!

I dont know about those visual hets, thats only the case with codominant mutations. Could yours be a pastel? Compare it with some pastel photos. That or maybe a Honduran, they have pink bellies and side color. Normally, they are smaller than colombians.
