Went back with Marc Frevola to the site that I found the milk snake last week this morning.
The first board had an adult black rat and an adult black racer coiled within 6" of one another. As I held the 4' x 8' sheet over my head I I had to think quickly...so I let the board hit me on top of the head and grabbed the racer in my left and the rat snake in my right.
Found 2 ringnecks which is a pretty big deal up here...
and ...then the downright prettiest eastern milk snake I've ever seen !!

- american toads
- red-back sals
- and some wild turkeys! (all in a couple hours)
