Some help please...

Ok,

So here's the deal. I acquired this sunglow about 3 weeks ago. She was born in May. She was raised in a shoe box, and i temporarliy had to place her in a 20 gal glass tank (what a mistake).

She seemed stressed, and regurged after her first meal. I waited 10 days, fed her a fuzzie, and she regurged again.

So..since then (4 days ago), i have placed her in a shoe box and am going to wait two weeks to feed her again, this time a pinkie.

As you can imagine, this whole situation has got me real stressed, just like the little boa.

The problem is that she still has not settled down in the new enclosure, its like she's constantly looking for a way out.

Any advice would be appreciated. Oh...took her to the vet, everything seems fine with her...he gave me some flagyl to administer, but i am reluctant to use it. Any comments on this??
Temps are fine...82-84 ambient, 90-95 hot spot..humidity 70-80%.

Thanks

By the way, how do you post a pic with a message???????

I would keep her in a quiet spot with as little traffic as possible. Give her a hide spot if she dosent already have one, and leave her alone for a while, no holding at all. I would wait 7 more days and give her a pinky/fuzzy then leave her alone some more, still no holding.
If you can get some bene-bac i would take a small amount of it and siringe a little bit of it into the mouse before you give it to her this will aid digestion by suppling good. She may have a loose stool after but dont worry about it. Bing so young and small she needs some nutrition and this will help her digest better.
I would really hold off on handling her for at least 3-4 good feedings just to let her settle in. I know its hard to do but it will be better for her believe me.
Your temps seem good, I would probably raise them to 86 to aid digestion, your humidity is a little high but that is no big deal, you can adjust that by putting a few extra holes in the shoe box, but dont do it now it will just stress her out more. One more thing I would not use the flagyl, I would if she was an import but as a captive morph she should not need it unless she was exposed and housed with fresh imports.
Good luck with her and please keep us posted on her.

Thanks for the info. Very helpful...i have been pretty much leaving her alone, and do not intend to disturb her at all.

Where can I get the bene-bac you mentioned. I that only available through vets.

Also, would like to post a picture of her, but can't find out how...please let me know.

Thanks

Bene-bac is mostly used for birds actually. You can find it in almost any store that sells birds or bird supplys.
I am not the best at posting pics either but the main thing is that the pic needs to be either on a web site somewhere or on the photo gallery here before you can post it on the forum. The easiest way to do it is put the pic on the photo gallery and then you can post it here no problem. Good luck
