Need some help with this skink.

Well i was given this skink a couple days ago from somone in our herp club. They pretty much just said here and handed it to me so i dont know anything about it...
Does it need uv light and what kind of heat does it need.

It is a Schneider Skink, and rather skinny at that. Yes it needs UVB, and a warm basking site. They do well on sand substrate with a moist hide area. They eat everything, from insects like crickets, meal worms, roaches, and vegies and fruit. There are some good sites online, posted earlier on this site.
These are great animals, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for the info....it looked pretty skinny to me also...i'll get it fattened up and a light on it.
