Tom and Tina Update#2

norristhenut Sep 03, 2005 07:57 PM

Tom and Tina have been sleeping since their visit to the vet.
This picture is of Tom just after he tried to go for a little walk, on three legs.
His other leg was out and he kind of hobbled along on it for a short distance.
Tina walked also but his feet started to bleed so we put him back on his towel wrapped heat rock and he went back to sleep.
Tom likes his heat rock and climbs on it on his own, although we help him right now. You can also see Tom’s turtle neck sweater, as that is how bad his neck was ripped and his skin just hangs around his neck.
If you look just above Toms head you can see where his shell was gnawed till it was white. They have ways to go, but they look better everyday to us.
Thanks Norris

Ahh the poor things. Glad to know though that you think they're looking better each day.
I hope they make a full recovery.
Just yesterday my neighbor found a huge rat in his yard. He'd hauled some kind of equipment in & apparently the rat was in the equipment. His red healer dog took care of it though so I don't have to worry about my pets over here, I'm just glad I didn't have to see it all happen. I only heard about it after the fact.
Healing thoughts to Tom & Tina!
