How Can I Maintain Humidity In Canada?

LordOfTheLizards Sep 03, 2005 10:12 PM

I live in Canada (northern ontario) and I know for a fact, that I woud not be able to keep humidity in an all screen cage, whether in summer or winter, would be impossible.
I plan to make my own cage, 2'x2'x5'. I would make 2 sides playwood, and the bottom tile or something, with a fog machine sending fog through the top down every hour or so, will this be enough?

Hello fellow Canuck.

Buy a Hygrometre to mesure how much humidity is in your cage. Find out the humidity needed for your species. To accomidate it, play with where the humidifiers are placed and what setting and timing they are on. Add and remove misters until you can fight the cold and Dry climate.

Find a good and safe method to treat the plywood to prevent rot.
