Hi everyone my husband and I have an adult pair of argentine black and white tegus, this is our first year having them and I have read that if you don't hibernate tegus you reduce their lifespan by close to half. We live in FL and sometimes the winter temps are 50 degrees at night but they can also be as low as 28 or so when cold fronts come through. Currently this pair of tegus is housed in our garage in a huge enclosure. How would we go about hibernating them with unstable temps like FL winters have? Should we just bring them indoors before it starts getting really cold at night and just not hibernate them? It would be nice if we could breed them come spring time but I thought hibernation was needed to bring them into breeding condition. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks so much
