New Black Tails and Unicolors.............pics

bthacker Sep 04, 2005 08:59 PM

I just traded two pair of Thayeri for a group of 5 Drys. 1.1 Black Tail and a set of Unicolors....

These guys are awesome!!!! I have been wanting some of these guys for awhile. I picked them up with description's of them being fast, mean and not handled very much. I was very surprised to find out that they weren't all that bad but actually very calm and handledable. I have had them out a few times and it's been the same, nice and mellow. I guess I am lucky. Is it common for BT's not to have totally black tails? I haven't seen enough of these guys to know. I have also read that alot of these are natural intergrades and they are hard to tell apart, is that true? Let me know what you think. The female is the one with the darker tail. Both of these are the adult BT's.

or you got one hell of a deal on that trade! Those are some nice, healthy looking cribos.
Your cribos look like their respective subspecies to me. Some unis are slightly darker toward the tail but I wouldn't call that a intergrade based on that pic.
Congrats!

were very nice(one aberrant speciman) but the guy pretty much wanted to get rid of them. He wanted to work with species that were a little less demanding. I am stoked!!!! I will post pics of the kids maybe today......Looks like I have one more forum I will be frequenting more often!!!
