feeding my beardie

lizard66 Sep 04, 2005 09:06 PM

I recently went to a reptile show and got a 7 inch (might be almost 2 months old) bearded dragon (sandfire/hypo pastel color).
I think he might not be the most alert bearded dragon of the bunch, because he lets crickets walk right in front of him! I know at his age, Beardies eat a whole ton of crickets (I have about 200 on hand right now). How do I get him to eat alot of crickets, instead of 5-8 a day? I also give him a salad that contains collard greens, turnip greens, and a little bit of soaked pellet food. How do I get him to eat his salad? Please reply, because I want my new dragon to be the biggest and healthiest dragon he can be.

Providing all his habitat needs have been filled, then Give him some time to warm up. Adjust a little to his new surroundings. Being alone. Maybe he ate butterworms before. Should be fine for a few days.
