Help!!

my99zx9r Sep 04, 2005 11:38 PM

I was curious if a snake can live a healthy and happy life without a tongue. I know they can do well without eyes, but I am not sure about the tongue. One of my babies has not eaten her 1st meal yet and I have never seen her stick out her tongue. She is about 2 months old. Thanks for your help.

Mike

YES ,
I actually rescued a Boa Constrictor 2 years ago that ate like a mad-man .I NEVER , EVER saw the snakes tongue . I thought the abusive owner, (who just dropped it off outside the local animal shelter in a TV box in January ) might have cut it off . The snake thrived , and lives a very healthy life today , and it's owner still has not seen it's tongue.
